The Canal House is a favorite location for special occasion dining - from intimate weddings and rehearsal dinners to wedding showers and anniversary parties. From cocktail parties to five-course dinners - any type of event held in this historic restaurant and inn will be one you and your guests will reminisce about for years to come.

Wedding parties from 10 to 100 can enjoy the 18th century homey setting in seven, fireplace-lit private dining rooms. And...the perfect compliment to a Canal House wedding reception would be holding your nuptial ceremony in the hamlet's original church, now the DePuy Canal Museum. This quaint wooden church is just a short walk across the historic D&H Canal Lock 16 bridge to the bluestone patio of the Canal House where, weather permitting, your cocktail party can be set up to enjoy the sunshine and excellent settings for your wedding photos.

In addition to weddings, the DePuy Canal House has private rooms for groups of 10 to 50 for many other special occasions and events - the warmth and ambiance coupled with the finest cuisine will provide you and your guests a most unique dining experience.

In summer, special hors d'oeuvre parties for up to 50 people are available on the outdoor bluestone patio. Or, plan to hold your event in either of our wine cellar restaurants - Chefs on Fire Bistro Café or Amici Sushi serving Master Chef Makio Idesako's five-star Sashimi delights.

For all special events - the menus are personally developed by owner and Master Chef John Novi and the wine sommelier will match a fine wine selection to your custom menu...the perfect compatibility of wine to the foods you choose will enhance the palate.
